It starts, gets to about 1.1TB (of 2.7), then gives me permissions errors. I just tried again with this method using the latest firmware, and I can only copy about half of my data. I am using firmware version 3.4.4 Build 0718T I have verified the FTP user account has full access, as I can create/edit/delete files/folders using an FTP client. ![]() (Not all files/folders and their attributes are copied!) Additionally, the files themselves never copy, and I receive the following log in QNAP: So, as you can see, the sync folders are a level above the QNAP folder, not in the QNAP folder where they should be according to the pair. When I perform a sync, the destination incorrectly looks as follows:į/Backup/QNAP/~$%#~000 (not sure what this is, but it is created by the RTRR operation) In the source folder, there are subfolders Data\Folder1, Data\Folder2, and Data\Folder3. The correct source folder structure is created, but it is created a level above the intended destination directory. I can connect to the FTP server successfully and create folder pairs, but files do not copy (folders do, sort of.). I an trying to set up a folder pair using an Secure FTP server (FileZilla). You can copy files to the users home for example, then move them via SSH and mv.I have just set up a new TS-559. As a relatively new Ubuntu user, I would like to learn why. I can easily remove these files using sudo, however, I cannot see why they cannot be removed without sudo. Doing rm -rf inside the directory does not work. That would be a security concern and that’s what sudo is for. Doing chmod 777 and then delete does not work. Check out the new “openHAB-share” share, you’ll like it.Īlso remember that it’s totally normal that the main user doesn’t have permissions to do everything. You can by the way work easier by mounting the samba share, no need for winSCP in a local network. With the latest revision of openHABian all you should need to do in order to be allowed to write to /etc/openhab2 and /var/lib/openhab2 is execute “Fix Permissions” from inside the openHABian Configuration Tool, so be sure to do that first.
